1. Who we are
Simpll Wishlist is a Shopify app that provides wishlist and lead-capture functionality for merchant storefronts. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it is handled, both for merchants who install the App and for shoppers who use wishlists on merchant stores.
2. Data we collect
From merchants: store name and domain, contact email, plan and billing status (billing itself is handled by Shopify), and app configuration.
From shoppers: wishlist contents (products saved), and, where the shopper provides it or is logged in, name, email address, and marketing consent status. Guest wishlists are stored using an anonymous identifier until the shopper logs in.
3. How we use data
We use this data solely to provide the App: rendering wishlists, syncing them across devices, powering the merchant's demand dashboard, sending reminder and back-in-stock emails on the merchant's behalf, and enabling CSV export. We do not sell personal data or use it for our own advertising.
4. Marketing consent
Shopper email addresses are recorded together with their marketing consent status. Automated emails are only sent in line with that status, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.
5. Sharing
Shopper data collected on a store is available to that store's merchant. We use a small number of infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery) as processors under contract. We do not share data with any other third parties except as required by law.
6. Retention & deletion
Data is retained while the App is installed. When a merchant uninstalls, store data is deleted within 30 days. We honor Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks: shopper data requests, shopper data erasure, and store data erasure.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to what is necessary to operate and support the App.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Shoppers should contact the store they used; merchants and shoppers can also reach us directly and we will respond within 30 days.
